LIFE COACHING FOR WOMEN
I spent a long time being very good at my life and not particularly enjoying it. I was capable, dependable, and quietly exhausted. I kept thinking joy was around the next corner — after this season, after this or that milestone.
What changed was a decision — small, deliberate, and repeated every day — to stop treating joy like a destination and start treating it like a practice. It didn't happen all at once. There was no single moment. Just a gradual, stubborn insistence on paying attention to what actually made me feel alive, and letting that matter. That shift changed everything. It's what I now help other women do.
I'm a certified life coach based in Charleston, SC. I work with women one-on-one, in focused intensives, and through my signature course, The Joy Practice. I've worked with women who are burned out, women who are fine on paper and hollow underneath, and women who just have a quiet feeling that something is missing — and are finally ready to do something about it.
I don't believe anything is wrong with you. I believe you've been waiting for permission to feel good. Consider this yours.
A coach who has stopped waiting herself.

We have a complicated relationship with joy in this culture. We admire it in other people and treat it as vaguely suspicious in ourselves. Too much joy looks like you're not taking things seriously enough. Like you haven't noticed how hard everything is. Like you're getting away with something.
So we defer it. Quietly, reasonably, with very good justification. After this project. After this year. After the situation with my mother resolves. After I lose the weight, pay off the debt, figure out what I actually want. The deferral feels responsible. It feels like the mature thing to do.
And then one day you look up and realize you've been deferring for fifteen years.
Lynn's philosophy is not that joy is easy or that hard things aren't hard. It's that waiting for the hard things to be over before you let yourself feel good is a strategy that doesn't work — has never worked, for anyone, ever.
What changes is not the circumstances. What changes is the decision to stop treating joy like a reward you haven't quite earned yet and start treating it like a practice — imperfect, ongoing, and available right now. That shift is smaller than it sounds.
Joy is not a reward.
